CLONDUFF MINORS CRUSH CARRYDUFF Clonduff’s Minor footballers served up some tasty football to defeat a spirited Carryduff team on Saturday evening, winning 4-16 to 0-09. Responding to calls for an increased points tally, the Clonduff lads gave a great display of teamwork and tireless running on what turned out to be a very hot evening. This was a comprehensive victory, which allowed for noteworthy performances from every member of the team. While Carryduff shaded ahead in the early stages, once the home side got into its stride there was no looking back and no letting up. Mark Bradley gave another assured display in goal and the full back line was very sharp in winning possession and stifling the early Carryduff threat. The half back line, together with the midfield duo dominated the contest in the middle third and instigated numerous attacking moves, which resulted in a wide range of eye-catching scores via Clonduff’s dynamic forward line up. Clonduff Minors’ next game is away tot Rostrevor on Tuesday evening at 7.30pm.
