CLOSED CHAPTER Genesis 31:43-55 Marked by the treaty made here between Jacob and Laban, he said his farewells and returned home; bringing a long and difficult chapter in Jacobs life came to a close. Though God had created everything and adjudged them to be good (Gen. 1:25), life hasnt been easy. We have been faced with all forms of trials and tribulations; with all manners of troubles and torments; with barenness, stagnancy and retrogression; with war and strife. However, if we submit to Gods disciplines and let Him guide us in our decisions, we can endure the difficulties triumphantly and develop the kind of character that glorifies God. We can conquer by claiming promises like 1Pe 5:10: But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. God did not fail Jacob and He surely will not fail you. There is no experience, no matter how terrible that we pass through that our God will not stand by us. (Is. 43:2) God will not only every bad chapters of your life today but will open a new vista in your life today, to the glory of His name. Have a blessed week!
