CLOSURE TO GRAFFITI INCIDENT: The SCCSD District administration and school resource officer have intervened with a 16 year old high school student who allegedly wrote a threatening message Kill 55 -Friday on a bathroom wall, late Wednesday afternoon. Administration and police investigated credible leads, provided by students and staff about the incident and have suspended a 16 year old student, whose name will not be released pending consideration of criminal charges. Superintendent, Robert Breidenstein said, The school personnel and SRO did an excellent job in securing the necessary information and evidence to quickly and safely resolve this benign threat. It is important to note that the information resolve this matter came from students and staff concerned for the safety of their classmates and colleagues, Breidenstein added. The District takes every threat, comment and situation as credible until the evidence reduces the treat assessment. Now that this matter is resolved, we will be working with the family and student to make certain resources are available to help this student make better, safer, more appropriate choices to express frustration. Threatening statements, in written or oral form will not be tolerated. Bob Breidenstein, Superintendent
