CM started North Sikkim Poll Campaign, delighted by the impressive crowd 30th March: Chief Minster attended two pre-poll meetings and interacted with the people at Mangan and Namprikdang in North Sikkim under Lachen-Mangan and Dzongu Constituency. CM iterated that, North Sikkim has an immense potential in tourism sector, therefore, he assured that the region would be developed into best tourism destinations in the State. He made the following announcements to be taken up during next Government of SDF Party: 1. Statue of Guru Rinpoche to be constructed at Gurudongmar. 2. No hydro-projects to be initiated at Lachen and Lachung as per local people’s wishes. 3. Singhik Secondary School to be upgraded. 4. A new monastery to be constructed at Tung-Naga 5. A special-fund to be earmarked for Pipon. 6. Residential English-medium Public School to be established in Dzangu in North Sikkim 7. Hill-top tourism and Ropeway to be constructed in Dzongu to promote tourism in this region. 8. A magnificent Manghim to be constructed at Mangshila. 9. Buddha’s statue to be built at Tingchim. 10.Durga Mandir and an eco-footpath to be constructed in Dzongu
