CODE OF CONDUCT TRIBUNAL CHAIRMAN’S CONVOY IN GUN BATTLE WITH ARMED- BANDITS The convoy of the Chairman of Code of Conduct Tribunal, Justice Danladi Yakub Umar was yesterday attacked by armed-bandits in an intense gun battle which lasted for some time, along Keffi / Gitata road, in Nassarawa state. The Security attached to the pilot in the convoy display a rare professional excellence in dispelling the miscreants in the operation, there by leading to death of one of the bandit, while others ran into the bush supposedly with degrees of gun wounds. However, the Chairman and his entourage were safe, without any report of casualty. He was on his way to Bauchi for an official assignment. Therefore, this underscore the compelling need for security officers attached to Judges to be strengthened in order to mitigate this kind of security challenge, especially when the 2015 elections is on the way and there is the temptation for some politicians whose cases are pending before these judges to be mischievous.
