Please read his bio, and contact a New Hope rescue if you can help him tonight. Cheetos gaze is furtively trying to meet my eyes each time I pass in front of his lower kennel. When I open his door, though, he rushes to the back of his den. It is a challenge to leash him as he is an artist at coming off the loop.. Eventually, we exit the building into the yard. Cheeto pulls a little on the leash and eliminates quickly once out. He likes to remain at the gate overlooking the street. A few children come to say hello and a little dog barks at us but Cheeto does not appear interested in responding. I put a scarf around his neck. He seems surprised but accepts it and waits for me to finish with pictures. He sits on command but does not take my treats. Free in a pen, Cheeto does not seem to want to have anything to do with me and wanders around a little. He appears happy to see few other pooches nearing our area, tail wagging slightly. After a short walk in the street, Cheeto and I sat on the sidewalk. He did not try to distance himself from me and accepted caresses, even looking at me from time to time. He is a beautiful, healthy looking and well groomed Labbish dog with a gentle face. I know that there is more to Cheeto than meet the eyes. Dear Cheeto, let all your secrets out.
