COLD AND SNOWY ..... amy-gerber.artistwebsites/ We had about 8 inches of new snow this morning and the temps were well below zero. But, back to school tomorrow so no sitting around today. Headed up the Northfork. It was so quiet early but by the afternoon there were more and more people out and about -- watching rams, looking for Christmas Trees, just out for a cruise ... Dont blame them for wanting to go for a drive in the snow. Its beautiful! But, Im selfish because I like it better when its quiet. Had some good sightings today ... there was a red fox feasting on an elk carcass but he spooked really easily so no photographs. The bull bison look like they have already had enough of winter. The Big Horn Sheep are still hanging by the road but the big rams seem quiet already. And, got my first Northern Pygmy Owl of the year. It stayed at the top of the tree for about an hour and, when it decided to fly, it headed up over the hill. Not a great shot but a great sighting! Comments and shares are welcome! Enjoy!
