COLD WAVE CONDITIONS CONTINUE IN AP, TELANGANA Several parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh continued to reel under cold wave conditions today. Minimum temperatures appreciably fell at one or two places in Telangana and at some places across coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. The lowest minimum temperature in Andhra Pradesh was recorded in Nandigama at 10 degree Celsius while it was 7 degree Celsius at Adilabad in Telangana, a report by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts in East Godavari, Srikakulam, Vishakapatnam and Krishna of coastal Andhra Pradesh and some parts of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Medak, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Warangal and Nalgonda of Telangana, it said. Minimum temperature in Hyderabad was recorded at 11 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours. People were seen lightining bonfires and wrapped in extra woollen clothing to brave the cold weather. The IMD has forecast that cold wave conditions would prevail over some parts of Sirikakulam, Vizayanagaram, Vishakapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari and Krishna in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and some parts of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizambad, Medak, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Warangal and Nalgonda in Telangana for the next three days.
