COME INTO BEING AS UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS =================================== ........positing transformative collaborative practice at the core of human development suggests that the development is an active and even activist project of a histirical Becoming aimed at contributing to common history..................From the activist transformative stance.............persons are agents not only for whom things matter but who themselves matter in history, culture, and society and , moreover, WHO COME INTO BEING AS UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS THROUGH AND TO THE EXTENT THAT THEY MATTER IN THESE PROCESSES AND MAKE A CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEM. The resulting picture of personhood is that the SELF can only realize itself by taking an activist stance vis_a_vis the world; this , in turn presupposes the need to commit oneself to certain goals and A VISION OF HOW THE WORLD SHOULD BE AND DEVELOPING A LIFE PROJECT TO ACHIEVE THIS VISION___ with matters as to what is right or wrong and which societal arrangements should be sought to accomplish one,s ideals placed at the center . Developing one,d project andmission in the world entails taking a stance on one or the other ( not infrequently warring ) side within the social drama of life, and is thus not a mundane occurance but a true struggle that requires courage and will___ as wellas, ultimately serving as a source of these very qualities .
