COMIC CON SAN DIEGO:THURS 10:00 –11:00 AM, Room 25ABC WONDERBOOK: Writers on Creativity and Inspiration Authors Jeff VanderMeer (Award-winning author of Wonderbook), Lev Grossman (novelist and journalist for TIME Magazine, as well as a contributor to Wonderbook), Charles Yu (Novelist and contributor to Wonderbook), Anina Bennett and Paul Guinan (authors of the science fiction comic Heartbreakers as well as the book Boilerplate: Historys Mechanical Marvel), along with moderator Ann VanderMeer, will discuss the creative process and sense of wonder that is key to the writing process, in the context of the participants current works as well as the innovative visuals in the Hugo Award–nominated Wonderbook: The Illustrated Guide to Creating Imaginative Fiction. For readers and creators of any kind, the panel will also feature a slideshow of images of rough drafts of the participants works and will be followed by a Q&A.
