COMMENTARY: The radio coverage of the procession of the Black Nazarene today has become a mob coverage in the sense that the action at the scene is the focus of the broadcast - BY ALL OF THE LEADING RADIO NETWORKS. Result? The coverage is held hostage by situationers which are COMMON TO ALL THE NETWORKS! AS AN END USER AND ONE WHOSE ADVOCACY IS FOR A BETTER MEDIA, may I remind all those covering to give us a backgrounder on the Black Nazarene instead of sensationalizing whats already very sensational! Right now, as I switch on from one radio station to another, I hear the same ululation of the commentators, my friends included.
