COMMON REASONS PEOPLE REJECT JESUS (continued) What kind of loving God would let all those people of other religions burn in hell when they are trying to do good and just don’t know any better? We americans tend to think that if we personally havent preached the gospel to a country, that it has thus never heard it. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. Romans 10:17-18 When the original disciples and many others with them that believed in Jesus preached on the day of Pentecost God sent the gospel to every nation. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Acts 2:5 Every nation has had a christian preaching Jesus since that day. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. Romans 10:18 If we just look at the apostle Pauls ministry we begin to see the scope of the original spread of the gospel. Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands: Acts 19:26 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. Romans 1:15 In the back of a lot of bibles there are usually maps and one is often the journeys of the Apostle Paul which show how far he went to personally start churchs. There were many more disciples than paul, they went out also. There were many more people in the room at pentecost than the 11 disciples. Philip preached to a high ranking member of staff of the Queen of the Ethiopian continent, the man was born again and baptized, and then returned to his own country. Acts 8:26 Jesus appeared to the Apostle Paul (formerly Saul) personally. Acts 22:6. There have been many times that Jesus has appeared to people by vision or dream resulting in them being saved. God also had them write down these things so that the message of salvation would cover the earth. Living epistles going throughout the world from the beginning. Written epistles sent to encourage and guide. God is not unjust or unfair. Jesus had a personal encounter with a man named saul on the road to damascas with no earthly help, this man later became known as the apostle Paul. Jesus is able to save people all by himself, He is alive. I have heard of many people that have seen Jesus in remote areas where there are no preachers and they give their lives to Him quite well without our help. This does not mean that Jesus is in the flesh somewhere down here: Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matt 24:26-27 This doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t do missionary work. Every man has an opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus while on this earth, what they do with that is up to them. …All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people. Romans 10:21 Those outstretched Hands of His are pierced from the nails of the cross He bore to make sure that since we couldn’t be righteous on our own, He would provide even that for us to be made right with Him. By the time Jesus died, there were lots of people that had died before then without knowing of Him. He spent three days in hell setting any of them that would accept Him free from their sins also. For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. 1 Peter 4:6
