COMMUNITY LIVING GOD IS ONE - They say, GOD is ONE - What do they mean? - A single, solo GOD up there? - A single, solo GOD everywhere? - A single, solo GOD ready to jump at us when we are naughty? - A single, solo GOD whose love is CONDITIONAL? - Ready to throw us into hell if we dont obey him AND his messenger? LETS LOOK AT THE GOD I KNOW - Yes, God is ONE - agreed! - His presence fills every nook and corner of any space of the universe. - God is a COMMUNITY - In Him are ALL THINGS seen and unseen. - The existence of all things are in His Word - the Son - Jesus - God Himself, - Who is Spirit.. John 1:1-3 - In the beginning was the Word, - and the Word was with God, - and the Word was God. - He was with God in the beginning. - Through him ALL THINGS were made; - without him nothing was made that has been made. - My God is not a single, solo God, alone by Himself with no one to relate to. - He is NOT a Loner - I repeat: my God is a COMMUNITY - He is a relational God. - He loves, He cares, He forgives - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - The Godhead relates - God relates with us, His children through Christ - Not so much between a Master and Slaves as you might think - BUT, between a loving Father and His children - Between the Bridegroom and His Bride - HE LOVES - For the 3rd time I say: GOD is a COMMUNITY - For a mere human being, it sounds ridiculous. - But for those who have been revealed: - GOD is ONE, a community: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. - Because God only relates with His Son, - God therefore relates with us - Us who lives in Christ, and Christ who lives in us. ADVANTAGES LIVING AS A COMMUNITY - When you live in a community, it is NOT EASY to sin. - Example, you are helped in love by the members of your community when you are in error, through His Word, through His Spirit. - Even in your daily conversation, in your behavior, etc. - You grow, you are transformed. - And there is awareness to be guided by His written Word. - Within the community, it is hard to be found smoking cigarettes, marijuana, speaking filthy languages, scolding vulgarities, etc. - Even, if you are found walking holding hands with someone else whos not your own spouse, your sin will go viral. Hahaha, its hard to SIN. Good huh!!! SIN IS HORRENDOUS - Its ugly. - It causes you sleepless night. - Its easy to sin if you are outside the COMMUNITY. - You want to live a good life? - Then, dont sin. - As human, we are prone to sin. - Example: GOSSIPING is one of the things we often could not resist. - Judging others, saying out words without thinking and others might get hurt from it; - Despising the lowly, - Self-centeredness, These are examples of our human weakness that cause us to sin. LETS JOIN GODS COMMUNITY - Dont just come to Christianity - Come to Jesus - Come to Church - His people - Be part of the Church - I assure you, you will never be the same again. Remember! GOD IS ONE - A COMMUNITY
