🐾🐾CONCERN FOR WOFFY🐾🐾 WOLVERHAMPTON’S World Speedway Champion Tai Woffinden is to have blood tests after suffering dehydration and exhaustion. Woffinden struggled for points in the narrow win over Belle Vue on Monday after a hectic schedule including a rearranged Polish League meeting on Sunday. Parrys International Wolves bosses have also revealed how they will be using the forthcoming World Cup break to look at any possible strengthening of the side. Club owner Chris Van Straaten said: “Tai was exhausted. He was dehydrated throughout the evening and, perhaps in hindsight, he shouldn’t have raced. “He’s having blood tests to get to the cause of the dehydration, but he was under a lot of pressure last week with the attention and pressure around the British Grand Prix and then Poland on Sunday was added on when he really needed the day off. “But he doesn’t want to pull out of meetings, he’s that kind of guy. Having said that, I would think he is a major doubt for Belle Vue on Wednesday. “We dropped another home point at home to the Aces on Monday and that’s a disappointment and we will be using World Cup week to assess our options for the rest of the season. “All this has taken away the limelight from Piotr Pawlicki who was in stunning form and has been a revelation for us this season. I firmly believe with him in the side we would have gained three points against Coventry last week too.”
