CONCERT FOR HYWEL - SAT 21st JUNE-DOORS OPEN 7:30pm-MUSIC STARTS 7:45pm The concert to celebrate the life of Hywel Evans who passed away last November will take place this coming Saturday at Stafford Boat Club, Wildwood. A few tickets, priced £5, are still available and can be purchased from Jeff or Pete at the Spittal Brook session on Tuesday or the Rose and Crown session on Wednesday. All proceeds are going to House of Bread, Stafford, a charity supported by Hywel and Lorraine. This promises to be a memorable night for there is a tremendous line-up of local musical talent. In fact, in order to accommodate all those who want to play, the music will start promptly at 7:45pm so be sure to arrive in plenty of time. The music will continue until 12 midnight and the bar will be open from 7:30pm until 11:45 pm. Refreshments (included in the price of the ticket) will also be available. The musical line-up includes The Spring Chickens, Keith Thompson, Small Change, The Deacons, Cheryl Yorke, Robin Bailey, Chris Bowler, Helen Borton, Lee Ford and Jamie Park, Blunderbuster and Dan Walsh. Stafford Boat Club (postcode ST17 4SG for those of you with satnavs)is situated on the Wildwood estate. Turn onto Wildwood from the A34 opposite the Co-op and turn left onto the distributor road which runs around the perimeter of the estate. Follow this road round for about three quarters of a mile and take the 4th turning left onto Maplewood (as indicate by Stafford Boat Club sign). Take the approach road on the right which will lead you up the hill to the car park outside the club. It should be a great night and we look forward to seeing you. Love from The Spring Chickens.
