The RTE Act mandates for the following: - (a) Playground for each school; (b) Part time instructor for physical education in upper primary school; and (c) Supply of play material, games & sports equipment, as required to schools. ii) Mostly school playgrounds have been adopted under PYKKA. Under the SSA, part-time P.Es/Sports instructors are engaged in schools. Thus, there is a strong linkage of PYKKA scheme with the SSA.
