* CONFESSION OF A SOUND MIND By Aaron Stickel “Words of Light upon the Face of Adversity, Darkness, the Devourer, Pride, and Self-Righteousness” The light of the world has come to me in a very special manner. Spirits of darkness are attacking with everything that they have, for they know they have a short time. With spirits acting out of desperation, I am determined to stay desperate in prayer and fasting. I am fighting the good fight of faith, and I have laid hold on eternal life. Jesus has given me eternal life. By God’s grace, I will not allow it to depart without me. I have ceased bartering at the bargain table of spirits with my spiritual wealth. I will accept nothing in exchange for the love of God. I will accept nothing in exchange for the grace of God. I will accept nothing in exchange for the mercy of God. I will accept nothing in exchange for the opportunity to pray to the living God. In the past, I accepted sleep instead of prayer, but I have re-devoted myself to him. I have awakened out of sleep and put on Christ. Christ is my strength. He is the strength of the church. I have worn the moth-eaten garments of pride and self-righteousness long enough. I have cast these filthy garments in God’s consuming fire, and adorned myself with fresh garments of praise and thanksgiving. God has broken off every yoke from my life. Freedom is mine. Liberty belongs unto me; therefore, I will not sell it. Healing is my bread. I am eating it and will not regurgitate it in the face of forced symptoms. Jesus is the Lord who has healed me. He healed me at Calvary, and I do not receive sickness from the hand of the devourer. God has said, “I will put none of these diseases upon you.” He cannot lie, neither have I received any these diseases from the enemy of my soul. Jesus is the Lord who does all things well. I look to him, the author and the finisher of my faith. He always goes into action for me. I continue to praise him aloud everywhere. I am singing praises unto him everywhere. His love is deeper than I can imagine; however, the clouds are flags that symbolize my understanding of why I praise Christ. I am allowing my love and faith to be lookouts to God, and he has made me a poet who sings and writes of his glory. Jesus is constantly teaching me of his way. I am telling the world of his wonders. I purpose to keep doing it until after I am old and gray. God will never leave me. His fame will not fade, neither will his reputation be tarnished by the onslaught of adversity. I have turned and stared trouble in the face, and spoken the words that God gave me in its face. I am in the presence of life itself. I am not afraid in the face of trouble. Christ is bringing me up streaming with honors and blessings. God is tender toward me; therefore, I have taken up my praises and am speaking them to the tune of his faithfulness. I am making music on the strings of my heart and singing of my deliverance from the desperate spirits of the age. I have lifted my head and ceased my worrying about the things that have threatened me. My destiny is not as the sinners of the hour, but my destiny is sealed in righteousness, and my blessings are abounding toward my bosom of faith. I am not disturbed because of what I do not see. I have brought clarity to my natural senses by the words of my mouth. “Let there be” is not a thing of the past. “Let there be” is a very present action flowing from my heart through my mouth. My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. I am writing the things that I have hoped for on the face of the darkness. The words spoken by my mouth are words of light, and these words that I speak cannot be locked out by any device of the enemy, for these words are keys.
