CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL GOLLIS UNIVERSITYS ELEVENTH BATCH GRADUATES !!! ALL THOSE WHO REQUESTED FOR MY DELIVERED SPEECH, THIS IS HOW IT GOES..... MY ELEVENTH GRADUATION SPEECH-15TH OCTOBER 2014 In the name of Allah, the most beneficent, the most merciful. Ladies and Gentlemen, I greet you all in the name of the Almighty Allah Assalam Aleykum Warahmatullah Wabarakatuhu. I hereby recognize the presence of Heads of Government from different Ministries & regions including the ministries of Health, Youths & Sports, Aviation and several others, I further recognize the presences of advocates of democracy from different political parties, more especially the chairperson and leader of opposition UCID Party, Eng. Faysal Ali Warabe. The presence of Gollis University President, Dr. Saed Ahmed Hassan, the presence of Gollis University Burao Campus President, Prof. Abdhakiim Mohammed Abdillahi, the Gollis University Berbera Campus President, presence of distinct members from different Organizations across this great nation, Presence of Gollis University Senate and lecturers, the presence of smiling & glowing faces, successful and strong hearted graduates plus the presence of parents & guardians and all other guests in this hall of fame and elite, I welcome you all to this wonderful occasional day’s celebration at Gollis University. Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with great pleasure that today I welcome you all to Gollis University’s 11th Graduation Ceremony here at Burao Campus. A sister institution to Hargeisa and Berbera Campuses. Gollis University has experienced phenomenal growth since 2011 when it started with a single Faculty to the current fully established Eight (8) Faculties including; Health Sciences, Management Science and Information Technology, Education, Social Sciences and , Engineering, Information & Communications Technology, Law and Languages. With this steady development, the institution is focused on further growth in the nearby future by providing courses relevant to the needs of the local citizens. The mandate of this institution is to teach and train high caliber professionals, provide quality educational services and consultancy, conduct research and participate in extension, outreach and community services. Today, we have highly qualified and internationally recognized complement of staff who have earned honors for their teaching and research contributions. Our institutional members are committed to mentoring and working closely with students, emphasizing the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills as part of broader disciplinary and interdisciplinary proficiencies. We pride ourselves on providing students with the opportunity to engage in hands-on educational experiences through participation in Faculty-led research projects and apply academic concepts, strategies, and techniques to contemporary, real-world issues. Our academic programs are very competitive, flexible, relevant and consistent with Global, National, Community and Individual needs. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the day that we all have been waiting for since time immemorial, the day when we happen to witness the fruits of Education through our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, the day in which we devoted our entire time, energy and all sorts of resources in order to reach our goals. Today we are seeing the success of teamwork and joint efforts put together towards achieving our common goals. All these couldn’t have been easy without the will of Allah, it too couldn’t have been easy without the efforts of our parents & guardians, the efforts from the teaching staff, efforts from the Government and above all, the efforts and zeal of learning from the graduates in this elite hall. On behalf of the entire Gollis University team I would like to send our sincere congratulatory message to all the graduates, “CONGRATULATIONS FOR THE EFFORTS DONE – HAMBALYO HAMBALYO HAMBALYO!!!” If you try to recall what you have been through in your entire journey of Education, you will soon realize that it all hasn’t been easy. It has been a journey of happiness and sadness, joy and sorrows, smiles and frowns and many others. All these couldn’t have been possible without your commitment, patience and cooperation… I would like to inform you all that you have now joined the few percentage that compose the elite of Somaliland Nation, the eyes of the Nation and the needy citizens are now casted upon you all with much hopes and expectations. Our combined efforts can entirely contribute towards having a strong and developed Nation at large. Today we are indeed much proud of you; all the smiling and shining faces filled in here are a result of your success in Education. My great thanks goes to the parents and guardians of the graduates concerned, your support to education has been witnessed today and the fruits to all sorts of your support are still to be witnessed soon when your sons and daughters start their journey towards the development of the Nation. Thank you all for supporting Education from all levels, more especially with regards to the improvement of Girl child Education. Ladies and Gentlemen, let’s continue with our support to Education. Gollis University shall always continue to excel in the provision of quality Education to the Nation and the whole world at large inshaallah.
