CONGRATULATIONSto our oldest daughter Daphne M. Oldendorf on being appointed as Our Lady of the Lake College Chemistry Coordinator and CHO!!! This is such a Prestigious Honor!! Daphne is 23 years old and half way complete towards her PHD. Degree.. We are extremely PROUD of all her hard work, dedication especially while going thru trials with her medical conditions after her crash in Dec 2010. There was a time we didnt know if she would get through surgeries but Daphne is a fighter and never gave up!! She is a testimony of God!! Nothing was going to stop her from pursuing her Major in Biology, Minor in Chemistry & Concentration in Forensic Science. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Mu Fraternity, Chemical Society, Her Research won 1st place out of 6 states held at LSU. Daphne has achieved many Honors & Certifications in school, jobs & saftey over her College years after graduating Dec. 2012 wirh Honors & continues to maintain a 4.0 while working on her PHD. For those of you who know her, she is a very humble woman, intelligent & a achiever who looks for the good in people & her passion for teaching others is what we loves to do!! We have always believed that God had a plan for Daphne and today it was revealed. Her OLOL College Family has always been there for her & believed in her as we her Parents David Milstead, I, her husband Bret, Family & Friends have. She will complete her Residency also this year. Every parent wants their children to do better than they did and I can honestly say that all doubt as a parent I often have had by wondering if I was a good Mom over the years has been put to rest by watching each of our 3 Daughters... Daphne, Miranda & Morgan achieve their goals & dreams to become great successful accomplished woman!! I love you Daphne and Daddy & I couldnt be more happier especially when you called us early this am to tell us. You will do GREAT...so continue to follow your dreams Blue Eyes & always give God all the Glory....I admire you & your work!!!💖💖💖
