“CONSCIOUS SEARED” With a Hot Iron: … Why does it seem that so many people choose Homelessness, Unemployment, Not to Marry, or any of the lesser things in life; when they could have their Needs Supplied by the God that they say they Believe In. (Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, … them which believe and know the truth. 1 Tim 4:1-3) The searing of a conscious brings with it the loss of the ability to reason with rational thought and to make upright and righteous decisions from a personal perspective. (these are those who always say that they are doing the things they do for someone else or the benefit of others and to the neglect of self. (This is Not Christ like; but a trick from Satan) (Remember Legion Preferred to live alone and harass Christians who passed by with his exposing himself and knowledge of scripture) (And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Heb 10:24-25) They actually believe that this is what God wants from them and that their self imposed sufferings benefit others in some vicarious way. When God calls us to assemble ourselves together and have unity of the Spirit; they separate themselves and take on a sensual Spirit and proclaim their own righteous and refuse to submit themselves to the righteousness of God. (With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Eph 4:2-3) Be Careful; They Will Try and Seduce You ……… (How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. Jude 1:18-19) They Will Not Obey God’s Word …… (… zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of Gods righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. Romans 10:2-3) A seared Conscious is having your moral consciousness literally “cauterized” or rendered insensitive in the same way that the hide of an animal scarred with a branding iron becomes numb to further pain or a blood vessel after being heated to the point where in the end is melted, sealed shut and no further blood may flow through it. For human beings, having one’s conscience seared is a result of the continual believing of lies and unrepentant sinning. This Eventually dulls the sense of moral right or wrong, and you become numb to the warnings of the conscience that God has placed within each of us to guide us (Romans 2:15). In salvation we are cleansed from the sin inherited from Adam and all personal sins. But as we continue in our Christian walk, we are still subject to sin. If we do, God has provided us with a bar of soap to restore us to the point of salvation. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness”. (1 John 1:9) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2 When we allow sin to entertain our minds, we are quenching the Holy Spirit. We are commanded not to quench the Holy Spirit who dwells in us (1Thessalonians 5:19). When sin continues in our mind without resisting them and begin to practice these sins in our bodies (James 1:15), we grieve the Holy Spirit, which we are not to do (Ephesians 4:30). Once again, we have the choice to confess and repent or to continue in sin and backsliding. When we continue in sin, our souls begin to become morally callous. We finally come to a point where our conscience is seared and is unable to help us determine right from wrong. It is as if a hot iron was applied to our conscience and it is destroyed. Even worse, we don’t care how sinful we are. You can keep sinning despite divine discipline and actually sin yourself right out of this life and into God’s presence. If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. 1 John 5:16-17 We are wise if we never deteriorate to the point of having our consciences seared. Amen!
