CONWAY, N.H. (MyFoxBoston) -- Volunteers searching for missing New Hampshire teen Abigail Hernandez are hoping to grab the attention of visitors during the busy holiday season. According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, Volunteers will hang missing persons posters in liquor stores after receiving permission from the New Hampshire Liquor Commission to post them in all 77 of the states locations. They will also be posted in the states welcome centers. Investigators are reportedly hoping that travelers with information about Hernandez return to the Conway area during the holiday. Private Investigator Tom Shamshak said any effort to keep Hernandezs name and face in the public eye is the right thing to do. I would tell the family to make sure that all modes of transportation, bus stations, terminals, airports, all had a flier with her information on it, he said. Before the Thanksgiving holiday arrived, Hernandezs mother made an appeal on the website bringabbyhome. It says in part: Abby, we miss you! More than anything else, we wish that you were here with us on this Thanksgiving day. Hernandez vanished after leaving Kennett High School on Oct 9. She left the school around 2:30 p.m., walked along Eagles Way and was last seen taking a short cut through a power line trail. For 20 minutes after she was last seen, she used her cell phone to text for 20 minutes. Investigators say those texts were routine after school messages. The FBI is assisting in the search. Anyone with information about the teens whereabouts is asked to call police.
