COOK-IT Thursday: Tuna Pasta What you need: • 1 pot • pasta (macaroni or penne) • 2-3 clove garlic (mince using garlic mincer) • Butter or oil • 1 can tuna (in brine) • Tomato ketchup • Thousand island dressing • Chili sauce • Salt & pepper Assembly: • Cook pasta according to packet (tip: boil water in kettle to cut cooking time). Drain but not fully (leave a bit of the cooking water with the pasta). Set aside • Heat butter / oil and toss garlic till fragrant (20-30 seconds on medium heat) • Add 1-2 tablespoons of ketchup, dressing & chili sauce. Stir well. • Toss in tuna and pasta • Taste & season with salt & pepper Posh it up: 1) Add fresh veg such as diced tomatoes, peppers or mushrooms 2) Put pasta in baking tray, Grate some cheese over top and pop under oven grill till cheese is oozing Time saving tip: 2 cans of tuna and a whole bag of pasta serves 4. You can put portions aside and pop into freezer. Microwave for a quick, filling hot meal on crazy days! Bon Appetite!
