COSMIC ORDERING MEDITATIONS - PART 8a OF MANY Ordering a thing or a situation And now we come to the crux of the matter. Do not bother to do research on the routes to Paris as well as on the costs involved in getting there by either air or sea, unless you really want to. That is putting too much emphasis on the how. What you need to focus on here is the end result. Begin by deciding (hopefully through research) what the best time to go to Paris would be. If you want to go during the summer, it will be incredibly hot, and there would be tons of tourists there. At this time of the year, the Parisians tend to be at their most inhospitable as living in their own city is bad enough during the heat. Add in the throngs of tourists who make walking down the street to the corner a chore, and it becomes nearly unbearable. But if this is when you want to go, then by all means. Pick a street, any street that you got from a brochure or the internet. Say the Latin Quarter. How does it look? Fortunately, you have a friend in Google Maps which allows you to zoom in at street level to see what the buildings and parks look like. Put yourself there. Do not imagine you are there, simply put yourself there. What are you wearing? What kind of shirt, shorts, pants, shoes? Just how hot is it? What are you smelling? What are you seeing? How do you feel inside yourself knowing that you are walking through this great city? Are there a lot of tourists? Are they bumping into you? Are they friendly? Where are you going now? Say you want to see the Eifel Tower, how far back do you have to crane your neck to see the top of it? Can you even see the very top from the ground at all? What languages are you hearing around you? Paris is one of the most visited cities in the world, so it is inevitable that you will hear Americans. Do you have a camera around your neck? How about a bag or carry-all? Have you already checked into your hotel? Are you really walking around or are you just rooted to one spot, swiveling around? Copyright Stephen Richards but share with my blessings if you so wish.
