COSMOS - When Carl Sagan stated that the cosmos is all there is, was, or ever will be, how many stop to think and grasp that this is a non-empirically verifiable assumption and a non-scientifically provable starting point? It is philosophical dogma on which all his conclusions rest, and a premise that excludes other premises and excludes anything that does not fit into that foundation. If it is true or not, is another question. The point here is simply that his starting point is not science at all, nor can it be. So, the next time someone tries to bully you with some form of science trumps religion mumbo jumbo, just step back and ponder their foundation. One ought not to believe in science; science is a tool and a gift from God. Scientism is a false religion.
