COSPLAY TIP: need pretty spherical gems for your cosplay? Might I suggest the fillable ornament method? These acrylic ornaments come in varying sizes and twist apart. Typically utilized as a party favor or a Christmas bauble, I find that if you coat the inside with a metallic or shimmery acrylic paint, the resulting effect is gorgeous! The baubles also come in a glowy version, similar to a bubble that you could probably throw at someones head and coated both inside and out with a prismatic gloss. When coating the inside of the sphere, simply drizzle the paint from the small tube from the center out wards, making sure not to get the paint on the inner ribs of the bauble. If youre simply using each of the halves separately, you can dismiss that tid bit. After the inside is evenly coated, hold the bauble, open side down and at a tilt so as to allow the excess paint to drip out of the inside. Once the paint has slowed enough, leave the halves to dry, open side up over night/ over a night or two and theyre good to go! These arent only available in spheres, either! You can find star shapes, hearts, diamonds, etc etc if youre ordering them online! Otherwise, these are available and micheals or hobby lobby during the holiday months. :) Happy cosplaying! ~Nulfii
