COUNSEL ME MY LEARNED LEGAL e BRAINS IN HERE! I have heard the government has given a directive that all employees in the public sector will be payed only three(3) months arrears. is it true? the fact is that some employees have been working between one and three years now without salary with no faults of theirs. They have borrowed various sums of monies to for transport to theirs stations, pay rents for a minimum of one year advance and feed themselves.Actually, these people through no faults of theirs, have been stretched to their elastic ends and are now living at the mercies of some family members and benevolent people. Some have even lost their partners or encounter constant conflicts due to their financial status.Pathetically, most of these workers have processed all the documents needed for the payment of their salaries.who then is responsible for the release of the monies? My questions are; is it fair for the govt to give that directive? can these employees with valid employment letters duly endorsed by the representatives of the govt take legal action against the govt should the directives be carried out? can these legal actions lead to judgement debt?
