CPC DAILY DEVOTION THANK GOD FOR YOUR FAMILY Sunday 1st December 2013 Children are a blessing. Psalm 127:3 CEV Our families can be seemingly endless, tremendously complex or virtually non-existent. Every single person is a product of their own upbringing and unique experiences. This can make people incredibly talented in their particular roles or it alternatively lead to the feeling they fall very much short. Good or bad, were still supposed to love em. In Matthews Gospel, Jesus mother Mary and her other sons came looking for Him. When He was told, Jesus said He was already with His family: Anyone who does the will of My Father in Heaven is My brother and sister and mother! (Matthew 12:50 NLT) Jesus wasnt being mean and He hadnt fallen out with His family either. He was showing us that, when we choose to make God our Father, we get a new family and we are related - by His blood! Just like your earthly family, your spiritual family will have people you love and people that drive you up the wall. However, just like an irritating big brother or mean cousin, were called to have patience, understanding and love for them anyway. Do you know some Christians who are just driving you nuts? Its time for some action. Practise praying blessing on them... you will soon discover how you feel begins to mysteriously change!
