CPC expels Senator Kanti Bello By Wale Odunsi on June 14, 2013 Pin It The expulsion of the Senator, a member of the Sixth Assembly, was announced during the party’s meeting to discuss the issue of the All Progressives Congress,APC, merger in Katsina. The Chairman of the State Caretaker Committee, Hon. Faruk Adamu Aliyu, said: “Persons like Senator Kanti Bello were not needed in the merger process. He said that Bello would neither be admitted into the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, nor the All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP. According to Honourable Aliyu, Kanti has at many times painted both the CPC and its national leader, General Muhammadu Buhari, in bad light. “Even if Buhari decided to forgive Senator Kanti we as members of the party we can’t forgive him,” he said. Senator Kanti, a former PDP member and ardent supporter of President Goodluck Jonathan, once said he did not enter into any agreement to serve for one term in office.
