#CPorgMemberShare — Mandy Welty Mazzawi says, Reaching out to others in the same situation: My son, almost 3 this august, has a mild form of CP, with hemiparesis on the left side. He wears AFOs on both feet for 6-7 hours daily. When he is not wearing them, he tends to be up on his toes (although much less than before) and its doing a real number on the ends of his toes and the toenails, not to mention the underside of the toes. The toe nails are wearing away slowly and the skin next to them is splitting and tearing. Im out of ideas!! My question is: What have you used to help protect this area? Bandaids? Thicker socks? His little toes look very sad indeed!!
