CRAZY 8 RULES By inning: 1. Standard rules 2. 1 pitch-own team— Your own team provides the pitcher. You get one pitch. You have to swing. A miss or a foul is an out. 3. 1 pitch-other team—Other team pitches like normal. You get one pitch. A ball is a walk. A called strike, foul, or miss is an out. 4. Black Maxx—All players must use the black maxx bat. 5. Opposite way—3rd base becomes 1st. You run the bases in the opposite direction. 6. Home Runs worth double—Solo worth 2 runs, 2-run worth 4….Grand Slam worth 8!!!! (Home Runs unlimited this inning) 7. Start inning with the bases loaded. Mulligan per team — Any inning. Any play. They do something that kills you, make them do it again. Both USSSA and ASA Bats allowed 6 to 10 feet pitch height Females will hit 11 inch balls. Males to hit 12 inch. It is the pitcher’s responsibility to make sure the correct ball is in play. If during the 2nd inning the pitcher pitches the wrong ball to their own team it will result in an inning ending out. Batting order must alternate genders. If either male or female bat back-to back it will result in an out. Defense must consist of 5 males and 5 females. There is no requirement as to where they play. 3 Home Runs per gender, 1 progressive after. Dead ball outs after with the exception of inning # 6 where home runs are unlimited and do not count towards your total. Mercy rule will be enforced at 20 runs after 4 innings, 15 runs after 5, 10 after 6. First 2 games are for seeding. Teams will be seeded, in order from the following criteria: 1) Wins 2) Innings Played (fewer the better) 3) Runs Scored 4) Run differential Most important rule: HAVE FUN!!!!
