CREATIVE JOB SEARCH STRATEGIES By Michael Fox, NRWA, CPRW, MBA Attempting to find a job can be one of the most stressful endeavors you will ever undergo. It takes tremendous amount of effort to identify the job you want in the area you want at the pay you want. Furthermore, you must have the right education and experience to meet the needs of employers. If you follow a couple of simple steps, you can be highly successful. This will require you to “think outside of the box” to come up with creative solutions that will allow you compete and secure the position you want. First, you must have a well-crafted resume and cover letter that supports the position you are targeting. It should be structured with strong introduction explaining how your specific skills will drive value across organizations. It should be concise and to the point. In addition, you should list 6-9 keywords that summarize your experience / background. Again, these should be focused around your target.
