**** CRISIS CALLS ***** Over the past week whilst Jim and I have been concentrating on our family Ness and Luke have been extremely busy with the running of COH including dealing with 7 crisis calls. We have been using our stock supplies and the donations that have been put in our account to enable us to help those families but are needing help to be able to help with the calls that have come in last night and today. We have had 3 new calls from families on the peninsula in the past 24 hours and for us to be able to help them we need your help. Each of the families requiring help at the moment are in genuine urgent need. We will be using the last of our surplus stock to provide small packages this morning to get them through today but as these families have children we would like to be able to help them over the coming days by providing our usual balanced packs. We require the normal pantry staples, lunch box items (suggested items listed at the bottom of this post) as well as cash donations (bank account details also below) so we can supply fruit and veg, meat, fresh bread and milk and specific items these families need. These families do not require clothing or furniture, they only require a helping hand with feeding themselves at the moment. Please do not forget that the emergency packs we have been providing to those in our community who are struggling are on top of the meals (130+/feed) we still cook and provide twice per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) down on the waterfront to help the homeless as well. We require continuous support for us to be able to help all these needy people. Circle of Hope runs purely on donations supplied by the community. We do not have government funding or grants. All donations over $2 are fully tax deductible so please help us if you can.
