CSS 8 - Selection using element id The markup consist of 2 elements , one text with id text 1 and one button with id button . In CSS , we can select elements using unique identifiers(id) and then give them styles . The syntax is just to use the #(hash) sign preceding the element id and then apply the style , So , here for selecting the text with the element id text1 , we obviously will have to do #text1 and for selecting the button with id button we have to do #button , Thats what we do in teh style sheet and then apply a certain style ...here the style is rendering the background color of a certain shade .You can go and do anything you want , Hopefully that makes sense , Peace , Amlan Dutta.
