CUYAHOGA COUNTY ANNOUNCES THE FOLLOWING CAREER OPPORTUNITY Reports to: Social Services Supervisor Hours: Location: Jane Edna Hunter Building 3955 Euclid Avenue Social Services Worker 3 Division of Children & Family Services Cleveland, OH 44115 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Hourly Rate: $17.18 Monday through Friday Bargaining REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or in a field related to Social Work (Sociology, Psychology or Counseling) OR Bachelor’s degree in a non-related field and two (2) years experience working in a social services capacity. Must possess a valid Ohio Drivers License and have the use of an insured automobile. RESPONSIBILITIES: Investigates allegations of child abuse/neglect, as received by the 696-KIDS Hotline. Assesses safety of children in families following the guidelines of the Ohio Administrative Code; assesses the need for and provides on-going casework services to multi-problem cases referred by the intake unit. Conducts in -depth interviews with clients in the home or office for the purpose of developing case plans, goals and objectives. Provides for ongoing services in accordance with agency policies, procedures and acceptable social work practices. Services include protective, home based or substitute care, out-of-town investigations on adoptions. Monitors and evaluates clients’ progress in order to continue, change or terminate services.
