CVBS / Blues Lovers Monthly Newsletter for Dec, 2014 Issue 614 Hello Blues Lovers, here comes December. Wow, was that fast, but theres still plenty of blues to fill the last month of the year. If youve been holding out well your times running out. Get out and see a blues show now! I need to say that the CVBS move to PINOT WINE BAR & BISTRO has been amazing! Not only for our Thursday Night Blues Dance Party with Ron Thompson but the Sunday Jam Session w/ Jeff Logans Band Black Fry and the other nights of the week when Pinot has music. Its not all blues but its great live / local music at its best. We have always supported those who support the blues and Pinot has by far stepped up to the plate. Great Music, Great Food and Libations. Pinot has 3 great shows planned for Dec that you dont want to miss. This coming Friday, Pinot presents SQUARE ONE. This amazing contemporary blues band is on fire. PHIL WIMER on guitar and vocals will have the hair standing up on your whole body. Along with Don Squeek Clarey on Drums, Ray Haney on Bass and Jay Van Horn on Guitar / Harp and Vocals. Dont Miss this show! On Friday, Dec 12 Pinot is stepping up things bringing in World renown blues singer CANDIE KANE. Along with one of the hottest guitarist on the blues circuit today, LAURA CHAVAZ and the rest of her amazing band. Attention Blues Lovers: I have a special request from our blues community. Pinot is thinking of making the CANDIE KANE show a DINNER SHOW for the first set and a 2nd set for the general public. If you think you would like the idea of a Dinner show please reply and let me know asap. If I dont get a good number of replys we will just move forward with a standard 2 set showcase. Once in for the dinner show you can stay for the second show as well. Tables are limited so please let me know. On Thursday, Dec 18 at Pinot its the ANNUAL CVBS SANTA HATS AND SUNGLASSES XMAS PARTY with RON THOMPSON & HIS RESISTORS. As most of you know, this annual event is by far our biggest party of the year. With everyone wearing everything from Santa hats and Sunglasses to Ugly Xmas Sweaters. We will be taking our annual Xmas Photo as well. Then on Friday, Dec 26, the day after Christmas, DEJA BLUES will be hosting another amazing CVBS ALLSTAR SHOW. This will not only be the last blues show of the year at Pinot it will somewhat be the CVBS New Years Party. So far we have PHIL WIMER & DAVE CHAVOYA lined up as special guest. Stay tuned for the complete line up. And as always all of these events except for Candie Kane are no cover events. ***************************************************************************** Its that time of year for the 15th Annual ROCK THE LOT / TOYS FOR TOTS concert and toy drive. This years event will be held on Sunday, Dec 14. The location for this years event is back by popular demand behind HOOTERS on North Blackstone in the Sams Club parking lot. This years line up is AC MYLES, RICHIE BLUE, DEJA BLUES, VINYL, TANGENT and last but surely not least the Amazing MONKEY WRENCH. Jim Eachus, Monkey Wrench and The Tone Shop as been putting on this event for 15 YEARS, collecting toys for Hundreds of Children. My hats off to him, Burns Sound Company and all the bands who have played over the years. Please help make this the biggest year ever.
