CWCI: Maximum, Minimum Temporary Total Disability Rates in Calif. to Rise Slightly in 2014 The maximum temporary-total-disability weekly rate in California will increase from $1,066.72 this year to $1,074.64 in 2014 while the minimum TTD weekly rate will rise from $160 in 2013 to $161.19 next year, according to the California Workers’ Compensation Institute. The CWCI based its calculations, which were confirmed by the state Division of Workers’ Compensation, on an increase in the state average weekly wage from $1,059.38 to $1,067.25 during the 12-month period ending March 31. Next year, not only will the maximum and minimum TTD rate be tied to changes in the state average weekly wage, but so will TTD paid two years or more after injury, life pension and permanent-disability payments for injuries on or after Jan. 1, 2003, and installment payments on death claims, the Institute reported.
