Cable TV of East Alabama will be launching a new channel line-up on Oct. 1. Basic Only customers WILL NOT need an evolution digital box right away and other than the channel changes they will be mostly unaffected. Customers can watch for updates on CTVEA’s Web site, in The Citizen, here and via email for when the boxes will be needed and will be made available. Customers with digital televisions that are not more than five years old can go through the auto-tune process and should be able to receive the channel in its digital version for a better quality picture. Digital customers will begin receiving new channels like CW, Bravo, HD-MSNBC, and HD-CNBC after the overnight conversion Sept. 30. CTVEA will continue to release HD channels as they become available from now through the end of the year. An updated channel line-up is available on CTVEA’s Web site at ctvea.net
