Caldwell 33, aka NGC6992, aka the Eastern Veil Nebula. An emission and reflection nebula (a supernova remnant) in the constellation Cygnus. Distance from Earth: 1,500 light years. Eastimated age: 18,000 years. The nebula has an apparent magnitude of +7 and an apparent angular size of 80x40 and a surface brightness of +13.4mag per square arcminute. This image is a stack of 56 individual frames of 60..135s exposure time each, totalling 1h53min15s. Equipment used: PN203-800 reflector telescope on a Sky-Watcher HEQ-5 Pro Synscan mount, IDASv4 filter for contrast, GPU Aplanatic Coma Corrector, Canon EOS 60Da digital camera, Lacerta MGen autoguider.
