Call For Applications: Akiyoshidai International Art Village (Japan) Deadline: July 31, 2013 The Akiyoshidai International Art Village Residence Program (AIAV) provides a time for new encounters and experimental practice. Artists are expected to bring new ideas to the local culture and people while they, in turn, will hopefully acquire new perspectives through these fresh encounters. The residency period is January 19 – March 14, 2014 and 3 artists (2 of non-Japanese, 1 of Japanese), under 40 years old, will be accepted. Support includes roundtrip travel expenses, accommodation and studio at AIAV, production expenses: 200,000 yen and a per diem of 2,800 yen x days of the program.
