Call for Entries: Sleight of Hand ACJ members exhibition tour 2015 The 2015 show will tour to three venues in the Autumn. The theme is Sleight of Hand. Clever fingers, magic, deception, smoke & mirrors, craftiness, sheer skill.... The Panel will meet in May, with the work needed from August to December. Application deadline is 16th April. Opening at the Brewhouse, Burton upon Trent in September, touring to the Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh for October and then to Plymouth College of Arts in November to December. The work will be returned in the week beginning 16th December. The quality of making and design will be at our usual high standards. In particular the Scottish Gallery has a reputation for very well made work, and will remove any piece not up to standard. Again there will be a full colour catalogue, and advertise in Crafts Magazine as well as each venue advertising locally. This year there is NO application fee! However, participation for selected members will cost £75, and £60 for student & new graduate members. For this you get an excellent tour and two free catalogues; delivery of work is at your cost, with return is paid by ACJ. This show will have a selling element, in that the exhibition pieces will be for sale at the Scottish Gallery (50% commission). The collection will remain intact for the Plymouth leg, which is not a selling venue, and pieces sold will be returned before Christmas. So get your thinking caps on now -the applications will be received until 16th April. The application form is available from [email protected] Sleight of Hand ACJ members exhibition tour 2015 Terms & conditions: 1 The selected work will be needed from late July to late December 2015 2 The maker will send or deliver the work at their own cost 3 The participation fee for selected work is £75.00, or £60.00 for a student on a full time course or a graduate within one year of graduation date. Payment will be made at the end of the tour. 6 At the Brewhouse, a number of makers will be invited to supply up to five pieces of jewellery to be offered for sale separately; these will be pieces with lower price points and will not form part of the exhibition. Selection of makers and pieces will be at the discretion of ACJ and the Brewhouse.
