Call for Nominations -Mount Pearl Sports Hall of Fame –Deadline October 31 The Mount Pearl Sports Hall of Fame was founded in 1995 as a vital part of our sport community. Administered by the Sport Alliance the Hall of Fame recognizes and honors athletes and volunteers,and permanently records accomplishments and contributions to the development of sport in our community. a) Nominations for induction may be made in one of three categories: 1. Those having achieved excellence as athletes during their competitive days; 2. Those having achieved excellence both as athletes and builders of sport in Mount Pearl; and 3. Those recognized as builders of local sport clubs and associations. b) Nominations are also being accepted for the Team Honour Roll, recognizing those Mount Pearl sport teams that have brought honour to the city through outstanding performance and character. The Hall of Fame Committee is actively looking to the community for nominations of people who should be recognized for outstanding athletic performance and contribution to sport development. Please pass this along to anyone who may be interested in submitting a nomination. Note:Deadline for nominations for the Sports Hall of Fame is October 31.
