Call for a revolution in Ireland Why hasnt there been real resistance to the ongoing austerity? Maybe because the media have the majority convinced that with the end of the bailout in sight, so is the end to austerity. Well this is not true. The €70 billion we borrowed to bail out those banks will have to be repaid with interest for years to come. The result will mean even more austerity. The blatant targeting of the young, old and sick in this latest budget is an omen of things to come. Life will get even more intolerable as the years go by unless people stop and think. If you have thought to yourself after the budget that it wasnt so bad for you, please remember that your turn for crippling pain has yet to come. No one will escape austerity. No one. Its time to get proactive, unite with those who have felt the savage wrath of this budget and not wait until events force you to react when its your turn. By then it will be too late... ~Belenus.
