Call for nominations: Folk Music Canada Innovator Award Folk Music Canada will once again celebrate the most outstanding and dynamic pioneers of the Canadian folk community by bestowing the ‘Innovator Award’ on a worthy recipient. This award is dedicated to recognizing a new and innovative approach that has had a profound and lasting impact on Canadian Folk Music. Nominees can come from any aspect of the Canadian Folk Music community. The award winner will be announced at the 2014 Canadian Folk Music Awards, to be held in Ottawa on November 29, 2014 Submissions must be received by August 22, 2014 and can be made online, through Folk Music Canada. While there is no fee to submit a nomination, the person submitting the nomination must be a member of Folk Music Canada.
