*Call for volunteers for Petopolis!* Volunteer and enjoy Petopolis while showing off the dogs and cats from the the League for Animal Welfare at the same time! Located at the Duke Energy Convention Center downtown, Petopolis is a family-oriented, pet-friendly event with local retailers,stage performances, demonstrations and more. Volunteers will receive free admission, saving $10.00, and can get reimbursed for parking. Available volunteer shifts below. If youd like volunteer or have any questions, please contact Rebecca at: rebecca@lfaw ****************************** Shifts: Friday, May 9 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. 1 volunteer to help set up at Duke Energy Convention Center Saturday, May 10 7:30 a.m. 2 volunteers to help load dogs and cats into cargo van at League 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. 4 dog handlers who will also help unload dogs and cats from cargo van at Convention Center 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. 1 cat handler and 1 info table volunteer 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. 4 dog handlers who will also help load dogs and cats into cargo van to return to League 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. 1 cat handler and 1 info table volunteer 6:30 p.m. 2 volunteers to help unload dogs and cats at League Afternoon volunteers may be asked if able to transport a dog to the event and morning volunteers may be asked if able to transport dog back to the League from the event.
