Call me Buckless. 8 days in the mountains and I never got within range of a shooter mule deer buck. My partners each scored on nice deer and we all had a GREAT time. Once again the Lozier families of Cody, WY were great hosts and guides. We hunted from dawn til dark and and rode horses and hiked countless miles on mountain trails. The weather was below freezing at night but warm and sunny during the day. We saw elk, sheep, bison and numerous does, fawns and spike mule deer. One highlight was a ride to the Blackwater Firefighters Memorial. 7 men died on that wildlfire in 1937. A beautiful memorial in a spectacular setting after a 5 or 6 mile ride. And, this year I didnt fall off or get thrown from my horse - but had to dismount quickly after our horses went nuts after jumping two moose. For some reason they dont like moose............. All in all a great two weeks.
