Calling All Directors and Designers! ACT 1, SistaStyle Productions and Destiny Theater Experience are partnering to produce two amazing plays. Funded through a Grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission, Miss Ever’s Boys and Master Harold and the Boys will be presented at Darkhorse Theater February/March 2014. The Grant is providing funds to hire 2 Directors, 1 Set Designer, 1 Light Designer, and a Costume Designer. Each Artist will receive a $500.00 Honorarium. Designers: you will be designing both shows. The sets must work together to shift easily from one play to the other in the middle of the four week run. We are hiring separate directors. 1. The deadline for submissions is November 1, 2013. Selected Submissions will Interview on November 9th. 2. Please provide your Resume 3. Examples of work 4. Prepare a concept for the play(s) Suggested questions: What are the themes of the play? What is the overall conflict of the script? How will you visually communicate Themes/Conflicts in your direction/design? What is each characters Intention/Conflict and how do their actions move the play along to its conclusion? How will the design follow the play’s journey? 5.
