Calling all Local Artists! (dates corrected) The Cambridge Arts Council is looking for local artists that would like to sell their work at the upcoming Pop Up Art Gallery. There will be the gallery space of artists that have not been highlighted by the CAC before and a local art shop area for people to purchase pieces from our amazing local artists. We would love to include a variety of artists from our area in our local shop. The event will be held at 210 W Main Street, as part of the Country Christmas weekend schedule of events in Cambridge. The event dates are: December 6, Open Reception from 6-9 pm; December 7, 10 am-4 pm; and December 8, 10 am-3 pm. FEE: There will be a 10 percent commission from anything you sell at the gallery. No other fees. If you do not sell anything, then there will be no charge. Any money made off of the commission will go right back into the promotion of the arts through the Cambridge Arts Council. We do ask you to join us for the opening reception, Friday, December 6 from 6PM until 9PM. Saturday and Sunday your presence is not required. If you would like to volunteer for a shift working at the gallery you are welcome to, but it is not required. PREPARE WORK TO SELL: Please clearly mark your pieces with name and price. Please put “plus tax” if you want us to add the tax to the piece’s price, otherwise we will assume you have included it in the price. DROP OFF ART: Wednesday, December 4 from 4-6 pm at the gallery space, 210 W Main St. PICK UP ART: Sunday, December 8 from 3-5PM at the gallery space. If you need to arrange another pick up or drop off time please contact me. INFORM US IF YOU ARE INTERESTED: Please e-mail or call us so we can have an idea of how much space is needed and we can work out the displays.
