Calling all PIES: Read this share: I am most definitely called to work with children with autism but sometimes I wonder if what Im doing really matters. Progress can be so painfully slow! But today, one of my most challenging clients demonstrated the ability to match words to pictures and to decode CVC words. No one has ever tried this with him before and the only reason I tried it is because I happened to have the materials with me. Im in awe of this child! He cannot speak clearly due to severe apraxia - I may have just unlocked a powerful tool for this little guy. I am just filled with joy and humbled by the secrets inside of him. God is showing me that I ought not use the word cant with my clients. Thanks for all the love you spread. Reading the posts from parents gives me a lot of insight and helps me know how to address everyones needs, not just the needs of the child.
