Calling on all dog lovers. The Shelter is at maximum capacity and because the shelter is an open intake facility we have to have kennels open for intake of new animals. That means that several dogs have to be moved out immediately and we want them in homes, not put to sleep by Animal Control. We need to find good homes immediately for all the dogs whose stray hold time is up, but especially all the dogs in our outside kennels D16 through D37. PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY DEROGATORY COMMENTS AS THEY WILL BE DELETED IMMEDIATELY. This overcrowding is a community problem and not the fault of the City Shelter or the Humane Society. IF YOU CANT ADOPT, APPLY TO FOSTER, IF YOU CANT FOSTER, PLEASE SHARE OUR ALBUM OF AVAILABLE DOGS OF 01-09-15. Most of the dogs are medium to large and very friendly. In this past week alone over 35 dogs have come in to the shelter and we only have 37 kennels. Please share as this situation is urgent.
