Callum was at his worse when he was 2 years old he was in hospital due to increase in seizures he was so drained couldnt eat or drink on a drip and so weak so heartbreaking seeing him like this we was told to prepare for the worse his body was going in and out of seizures and they couldnt stop them same now numerous rectal diazapam until cudna use anymore they phoned Glasgow and we was airlifted from Lossiemouth RAF to York hill childrens hospital in Glasgow callum continued to have seizures that bad we couldnt bath him then there was a breakthrough callum was responding to steriods and we went from strength to strength from there on getting right medication after 2 to 3 weeks stay it was best news ever. We had long battle getting callum diagnosed with his Autisim the head teacher even told us in nursery she thought he was autistic they did nothing about it callum was bullied all through millbank school because he was diffrent any hard days phone would ring please can you come get your son mrs Taylor we cant cope hes not behaving he had lovely teachers Mrs Findlay Mrs scott and Mrs Bowie his classroom assistants but never had the specialist training they needed for teaching callum . He was kicked out in p6 he went to Beach brae in Elgin they did wonders there for him but everyone tryed just wish they had listened to one person that knew him the most his mum . Callum then went on to have assesments in.beach brae with specialised teachers at age 13 he was diagnosed with Autisim what a relife to know there was a reason for his behaviour he wasnt being naughty he was trying express how he was feeling and when he was frustrated it came out in his behaviour he now handles this alot better but still has his ups and downs
